What is PasteAnyLink?

PasteAnyLink is a web tool that saves videos and images from public social media posts. Paste a link from a supported platform and it returns the underlying media file in the resolutions the platform stores, as MP4 for video and JPG or PNG for images. No account, software or browser extension is required.

  • Supports public posts only — private and login-gated content is never accessible.
  • Video is returned as MP4 (H.264), playable on any device without conversion.
  • Files stream directly from the source platform and are never stored on our servers.
  • Works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac.
  • DRM-protected services such as streaming subscriptions are not supported and never will be.

Frequently asked questions

Is this free to use?

Yes. Standard downloads are free and instant with no account. Higher-quality and watermark-free versions unlock after a short sponsor message, which is what pays for the servers.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser. There is no app and no extension, and you should be cautious of any downloader that requires one.

Do you store the files I download?

No. Media streams from the source platform directly to your device. Nothing is written to our servers and we keep no record of the links you submit.

Can I download private or subscriber-only content?

No. We only handle publicly viewable posts. Private content requires a logged-in session, and we will never ask you for a platform password or session token.

Why are streaming services not supported?

Netflix, Spotify, Prime Video and similar services protect their content with DRM. Circumventing that is illegal in most countries, so we do not support them and will not add them.

Is it legal to download social media videos?

Saving public content for personal offline viewing is generally accepted, and many countries have private-copy exceptions. Reposting someone else's work as your own is a copyright issue regardless of how you obtained the file. Download only what you own or have permission to use.

Why did my link not work?

The most common causes are a private account, a deleted post, or a region lock. Open the link in a browser where you are logged out — if you cannot see it there, it is not publicly available.

Does the creator know I downloaded their post?

No. Platforms do not notify creators about downloads made through external tools, and we send no signal back to the platform.

We do not host any content. All files are fetched directly from the source platform and streamed to your device — nothing is stored on our servers. Download only content you own or have permission to use. If you believe content has been made available in breach of your rights, see our copyright policy.
